The digital disposable camera

One roll.
The whole night.

Flash turns every guest into your candid photographer. They scan one QR code, shoot a limited roll of photos, video and voice notes — and nothing is revealed until you develop the album together.

Remember the cameras left on wedding tables?

Everyone loved them — the candid shots, the surprise of the developed roll. But half got lost, the film was hit-or-miss, and you waited weeks to see anything. Flash keeps the magic and drops the friction: the same limited-roll, hidden-until-reveal feeling, on the phone every guest already has.

  • Nothing lost, nothing left behind
  • Every guest joins from their own phone
  • One shared album, developed instantly

Why Flash

Built for the moment, not the feed

One QR code, every guest

Print one code for the tables. Guests scan with their camera — no account, no app store hunt, no “what’s the wifi”. They’re shooting in seconds.

A limited roll, like the real thing

Everyone gets a set number of shots. Scarcity makes people frame the moment instead of spraying 200 near-identical photos. Every picture counts.

Hidden until the reveal

No one sees a single frame during the night. When it’s over you reveal the whole roll at once — the group relives the evening through everyone’s eyes.

Photos, video & voice

Not just stills. Guests capture short clips and leave voice “tapes” too — a filmic, multi-sensory record of the day, all in one shared album.

Creating an event in the Flash app
How it works

From idea to album in three steps

  1. 01

    Create your event

Pick the occasion, name it, choose how many shots each guest gets. Design a cover. It takes under a minute.

  2. 02

    Guests scan & shoot

Share the QR code at the venue or as a link. Guests scan, pick a filter and start capturing their view of the night — no download friction.

  3. 03

    Reveal the album

When the night ends you tap Reveal. Every photo, clip and voice tape develops at once for everyone to relive and download.

The best part

The reveal is the memory.

No one refreshes a feed during your night. When it’s over, you tap Reveal and the whole roll develops at once — every guest sees the evening through everyone else’s eyes. That shared gasp is the moment Flash was built for.

Questions

The basics

What is a digital disposable camera?

A digital disposable camera is an app that recreates the classic single-use film camera: each guest gets a limited number of shots and can’t preview the results, so photos stay hidden until the host reveals the whole roll at once. Flash brings that experience to your phone — no physical camera, no film to develop, and the shared album is instant.

How is Flash different from a shared album or a group chat?

Shared albums and group chats show every photo immediately, which spoils the surprise and floods everyone with duplicates. Flash keeps every shot hidden until the reveal, gives each guest a limited roll so photos are intentional, and collects everyone’s photos, video and voice notes in one place automatically — no chasing people to send their pictures.

Do my guests need to download an app?

Guests scan one QR code and can start shooting straight away — the smoothest path uses the free Flash app, but there’s no account to create and no setup. As the host you create the event in the app; guests just scan and shoot.

How many photos can each guest take?

You decide. When you create the event you set the number of shots per guest — a small roll to keep it intentional, or a larger one for all-day events. You can also allow unlimited shots.

When do the photos appear?

Never during the event — that’s the point. Every photo, video clip and voice tape stays hidden until you, the host, tap Reveal. Then the entire album develops at once for every guest to view and download.
