Privacy Policy

Flash is a digital disposable camera for events. We built it to capture memories, not to harvest data. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, where it lives, and the control you have over it.

The short version

• We collect the minimum needed to run your events.
• Your data is stored in the EU.
• We never sell your data.
• We never use your photos, video or audio to train AI models.
• You can delete your account and all media at any time.

Who we are

Flash is operated by Flash by m4ntech. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “Flash”, we mean that company acting as the data controller for the information described below. If you have any questions about your privacy, you can reach us at business@m4ntech.se.

What we collect

Account information

When you sign up as a host, we collect the email address or social sign-in identifier you use to authenticate. This exists for one reason: to identify your account so your events and albums stay tied to you and no one else. We do not ask for more than we need to sign you in.

Event media

When you or your guests capture photos, video clips and voice “tapes” for an event, we store that media so it can be revealed and shared with the people invited to that event. This is the content you came to Flash to create, and it belongs to you.

Basic technical data

Like any app, Flash processes limited technical information — such as device and app version details and diagnostic logs — to keep the service secure, stable and working correctly. We keep this to what is necessary to operate and troubleshoot the app.

Guest consent

People who join an event as guests are shown a clear consent notice before they add any media. Adding photos, video or voice to an album is always a deliberate choice. Only people invited to an event can join it, and the media in an event is visible only to that event’s participants.

How we use your data

We use the information above only to:

• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Create, run and reveal your events and their shared albums.
• Deliver captured media to the guests invited to an event.
• Maintain, protect and improve the reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos, video or audio to train artificial intelligence models — not ours, and not anyone else’s.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Where we rely on service providers to help us operate Flash — for example for hosting and infrastructure — they act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data to the standards described here.

How long we keep it

We keep event media for as long as you keep the event, so you and your guests can revisit the album. When you delete an event, its media is removed. When you delete your account, we remove your account information and the media associated with it. Some limited records may be retained where we are legally required to do so.

Your rights and choices

You are in control of your data. At any time you can delete individual events, delete your account entirely, and remove all associated media. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export or object to certain processing of your personal data. Children

Flash is intended for adults hosting and attending events. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Flash evolves. When we make material changes we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
